  Reasonable selection of plants. Small pet shop and aquarium. There's a cafe with nice food, though the menu is limited and the prices are a little on the high side. The cafe has a tiny soft play area for children under eight.

  I used to LOVE this garden centre, great plants and lovely helpful staff. Today was not a great experience. I had left home - about 8 miles away from the centre - having left my Wyevale vouchers behind. No matter I thought as I have now, encouraged by Wyevale, registered online so you should have had a record of my transactions and offers available. No-one at the Royston branch had even heard about this initiative, they had no idea what I was talking about. No matter, I thought, I'll just pick up a few plants to brighten the front of my house for my imminent visitors. I only spent about £12, I usually spend a lot more. The plants were quite wet as they had obviously been watered...no longer do you keep the cage of cardboard boxes or plant trays for customers to pop their plants into to protect their car carpets - apparently it looks scruffy - helpful for customers though. I asked if I could have a PAPER bag and was told there was a charge for bags. Plastic bags, yes, but the paper ones you have always had available? The cost of 5p is not the issue, but the principle is. The government is trying to reduce the use of plastic bags for excellent environmental reasons by charging for them, not recycled paper bags. In all I did not enjoy my visit to Wyevale this morning, I would say that I am a good customer but I don't really feel inclined to go back to the Royston branch where It seems that customers do no matter as much as they used to.

  Love this place although the clothes stores and emporium of tat at the front of the store did make me sad. Why can't garden centres be about gardening? Restaurant vastly superior to Scottsdale's if you were wondering.
